Mini keys...

They are nothing but toys... Nothing serious... But then sometimes toys are just fun, who knows?

Not toys, they're sound modules with mini keys, in case you forget to bring your midi controller laugh .

Anything with mini keys is a toy....

I listened the demo yesterday and the soundquallity is remarkable there is a Tyros5 level soundengine in each of them. If they only had 37 normal width keys (length is not a factor) they could have been very usefull

Do you think MICROARRANGER (PA80/Triton sound board engine) is a toy?

I watched part of the Smorenberg demo of the CP model. It seems there are only electronic sounds, no acoustic piano etc., or am I wrong? So it would be the Roland JD type of synth. Not my genre...

It's unlikely they will do many demos of actual keyboard style sounds like pianos and electric pianos because of the obvious limitation to mini keys and a shortened keyboard . I would guess playing many chords is going to be one hell of a challenge !!! It's really no use to a keyboard player but I can imagine some kids who only play single note effect type music will have fun with it .

I loved my Yamaha CS-01 synth back in the early 80s great sounds,....these remind me of them for sure..

I used it on top of my KORG for left hand Bass before Arranger KB were out.

Ah, the CS-01! I still have mine too! Mine's a white one. I bought it for $25 at a pawn shop years ago. Still works great! I haven't pulled it out and played it a while; I need to do that ...
